10. Penile length contraction:
According to the relativistic theory of length contraction, this is an inevitable consequence of performing sex at the speed of light. An average penis of length 13cm traveling at 99% the speed of light will contract down to a length of only 1.8cm (this is about the same length as the smallest functional penis officially recorded). At the speed of light, length contraction leads to an interesting paradox in which the penis seems to have no length at all, but is still managing to have sex somehow.

Nueva Directiva de Patentes

Según leo en una nota de prensa del dia 3-2-2005 del parlamento europeo, el comité de asuntos políticos ha solicitado al presidente del Parlamento Josep Borrel, que le pida a la Comisión Europea una nueva directiva sobre patentes de invenciones aplicables a las computadoras.

Traducción burda:

El Parlamento europeo había hecho una serie de sugerencias a la anterior directiva tales como que no afectaran al software puro siguiendo las indicaciones del movimiento de "open source". Sin embargo, las proposiciones del Parlamento fueron rechazadas por el Consejo.

No conozco muy bien como funciona la elaboración de leyes en Europa, de hecho no sé casi nada... Creo que, si pasado un tiempo la ley no es aprobada hay que volver a proponer una nueva, cosa que parece que el Parlamento está sugiriendo a la Comisión.

¿Hemos de suponer que si el Parlamento antes propuso cosas favorables al software libre en esta ocasión volverá a hacerlo?Yo creo que si.

It also sought a strict definition of "invention" as a contribution to the state of the art in a technical field. To deserve a patent, a technical contribution should be new, non-obvious and susceptible to industrial application. However, most of Parliament's amendments were rejected by the Council, which has since been unable to reach agreement on the proposal.»
